A Winning Pie and an Apron Winner!

The Apron FEST blog party and giveaway has been a delightful event. Thank you very much for coming by the blog and sharing your special kitchen memories this week. All of the team that works with me has read them and we are very inspired and have lots of new ideas because of the comments you left.

So that everyone is a winner, I would like to share one of my favorite recipes for a delicious summer pie with you.
                         Three Berry Pie
Make two pie crusts. Line a pie dish with one of them.
Mix together: 3 pints of raspberries, 2 pints of blueberries, and 1 pint of blackberries in a large bowl. Add brown sugar to taste.
Stir mixture and scoop into pie crust, draining juices and you pile the berries high. Place second crust over top of this wonderful huge pile of berries. Pinch crust closed. Using the tines of a fork, prick the top of the crust and spell "3 Berry," "Love," or "Summer!"
Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees, and 45 minutes at 360 degrees. I check to see when the top has juice bubbling out. This is a very juicy pie, so you will want to put something underneath to catch the drips. Let cool and serve with or without vanilla ice cream.

Perfect chilled for breakfast, after all it is fruit!
Absolutely delicious summer dish.

Congratulations to Beth Caldwell who is the winner of the apron set. The winner was chosen using a random number generator.
The aprons will be available soon when the fall collection debuts on the April Cornell website.
