My home is the set for many of our photo shoots, so it was not unusual that we were there shooting for my upcoming quilt book on a July summer day. What was unusual was that the heavens opened and some of the largest hail stones we had ever seen beat down on us just as we were dressing a shot on the front porch. They were the size of quarters and other small change! The hail sent us ducking for cover and then peaking out periodically to marvel at its intensity. It was a sight!
